12/25/2023 0 Comments Ark dilo toyA friendly and playful animal, Diplodocus will often nuzzle animals in friendly manner. These animals wander the warmer areas of the island, keeping more in the trees as opposed to the beach loving Brontos. These passengers often use ranged weapons to protect the creature, or to attack nearby enemies while on the move! To make up for this, many tribes instead use an eleven-seater passenger saddle which enables Diplodocus to safely transport ten additional riders. It never flees from predators until after they've attacked it repeatedly, preferring instead to make numerous fruitless attempts at friendship.įor some strange reason, Diplodocus trusts humans so much that it doesn't seem to fight back against them…ever! Domesticatedĭue to Diplodocus' smaller frame, it cannot support the type of "platform" saddle that other large creatures can. It's a very thick-headed and trusting animal, often to its fatal detriment. When fully matured, it generally only reaches about half the size of the rather enormous Brontosaurus.ĭiplodocus is another creature whose continued survival on the Island confuses me. Instead of size and intelligence, Diplodocus developed faster maximum speed and greater endurance. Unless there's a gaggle of other dino's, I still will let my tames take on the other wilds and I prefer to beat the little jackrumps with my hands, and works no matter what level they are and works even if there are a couple.Despite being one of the Island's largest creatures, Diplodocus insulaprincep is among the Island's smaller sauropods. Since then, my philosophy on Dilo's has been to put away the spear/pike etc and beat the little with my fists after strafing to the left or right to avoid the poison spit. It did it's little flare before poison spit and I strafed to the right then while cursing (not my finest moment lol) I jumped at it and started punching it in the head, when it started running, I chased it down and beat it to death with my hands while my husband laughed at me from the other computer while I hacked it up for meat. Mine's probably not the popular opinion, I'm still learning every day and I make a ton of mistakes -coughs-ĭilo's are little asses, and I got furious one day after being killed a lot after just starting ARK and lost my temper, went the hell off when another came at me while I was looking for my corpse. I mean am I supposed to go down on foot and kill every small creature in sight every time I want to use a large animal? It feels so raptoring stupid that I a huge rex died not to alphas, it died to raptoring dilo poison making me pull everything. But how am I supposed to deal with these small animals? I noticed beforehand how hard it is to target dilos. Now I 100% realize I lost it cuz I'm a damn noob, there's no argument there. Tried to swim away, got away from 1 alpha raptor but the second one chased me down and killed me. Tried to reposition, boom, second dilo for perma blind. I pulled it, got it down to 50%, then a wild raptoring dilo appears! Blinds me, I try to keep calm and chomp the raptor, blind ends and there's a second alpha raptor now. I set forth to farm some prime and get it some levels. I asked around and was assured that the rex can handle alpha raptors.
